Microcentrifuges for life science applications
Microcentrifuges for life science applications. The latest versions of the successful Heraeus Pico & Fresco series of microcentrifuges is available. Designed to cover a broad spectrum of life science research areas, these new models accelerate routine sample preparation processes by delivering higher speeds, improved safety and convenience, an enhanced user interface and an expanded rotor set. These and other enhancements are available on four new models: the ventilated Heraeus Pico, available in a 17,000 x g version and a brand new 21,000 x g version, and the refrigerated Heraeus Fresco, also available in both 17,000 x g and 21,000 x g models. The microcentrifuges offer outstanding flexibility and throughput by providing the widest range of high-capacity rotors available for their size, supporting sample formats ranging from hematocrit tubes to open mini-preps. The unique "click-close" bio-containment lid system ensures user safety and confidence. Combined with the large, easy-to-read digital display, the microcentrifuges are the perfect high-speed solution for micro-volume protocols such as nucleic acid preparation, protein isolation and reaction set-up.
For increased throughput rapid acceleration and deceleration rates are available on all models. The broad rotor set includes a new 18-place dual-row rotor that accepts 2.0 mL and 0.5 mL tubes, eliminating the need for rotor changes. The highly corrosion-resistant rotor materials can be autoclaved and cleaned repeatedly with the harshest detergents.
Delicate samples can be spun on all models and for precise temperature control, the Heraeus Fresco 17 and Heraeus Fresco 21 models feature efficient refrigeration systems that maintain temperatures between -9°C and +40°C in 1°C increments.
