Compact virtual microscope
Virtual microscopy is the technique of digitising microscopic specimens with commonly used objective magnifications to generate a digital virtual microscope slide with diagnostic image quality. Toco, a compact virtual microscope digital slide scanner, is mounted with a 20x and 40x high resolution lens, and can scan areas of 10mm x10mm with the 20x high resolution lens in only three minutes. The images can also be stitched together automatically on-the-fly. The resulting virtual slide can be viewed on the PC using the company’s cutting-edge software. Moving the view point or changing the magnification on screen using the mouse allows the entire image to be viewed as if it were a real glass slide.
